The team had a lot of miscues, but there's one big reasons I'm optimistic. The first half, they were completely caught off guard yet they made plays and actually led at half. Following that they made adjustments and completely took control of this game.

What this says is:
1. Even while somewhat banged up, this team has a shitload of talent that allows it to stay in games against anyone. Seriously, I don't think there is a roster in the league right now with more top end talent...

BYE WEEK BEDWETTING: STEELERS MASQUERADE

Right near the top of the list of “Shit I Hate about the NFL,” right up there with Pussy Rules, is the Bye Week. There’s no need to have a week off once the season starts; it’s an NFL invention, circa 1990 designed solely to maximize TV revenue. Therefore, one better not lose going into the Bye Week. I don’t know about the rest of you asshats, but when the Steelers lose, the next Sunday’s game can’t come fast enough....

It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I've read some things this past week that had me riled up. There's been some questioning of Roethlisberger's play, a lot of talk about officiating and luck. I've yet to see anyone hit on the real issues of the past game against the Vikings.

The national media has decided to focus more on the officiating and Favre's turnovers late. The Vikings simply imploded in their minds, or were robbed. It's not hard to see why they came to that...

STEELERS AT THE QUARTER-POLE

Okay….I can’t do math very well, but using lowest common dominators, it’s 1 down, 3 to go on the NFL’s 2009 Regular Season. One might argue with that, and factor in the Bye Week, say there’s 13 weeks remaining, but the Bye Week is in my list of “Shit I Hate About the NFL” so I ain’t doing that.
